Hello my lovely readers! A couple of days ago was the last day of #TheReadingQuest, which is a reading challenge I participated in that was created by Aentee over at Read at Midnight.
For this challenge, I selected the pathway of the knight, but unfortunately, I did not complete my challenge as I hoped I would. I completed only three of my five challenges on the knight pathway, plus one side quest.
I expected to get through way more than only four books, but back to school season was even more hectic than usual this year and sadly, I had very little time to read as a result. Also, the last two challenges I had to do for the knight were a book with a weapon on the cover and a book with a movie/TV adaptation. I had very few options for books that fit these prompts, and I just wasn’t in the mood for any of them. I am very much of a mood reader, so I’m thinking that reading challenges with very specific TBRs aren’t for me.
Despite the fact that I didn’t do as well as I had hoped and expected, I still had a lot of fun participating in the challenge, especially because of all the other wonderful readers and bloggers that I met and chatted about books with. As a new blogger, I really appreciate the great opportunities this reading challenge had!
The books that I did read were:
The First Book of a Series: The Collector (Dante Walker #1) by Victoria Scott
3 of 5 stars
See my review here.
A Book A Verb In Its Title: The Last Time We Say Goodbye by Cynthia Hand
4 of 5 stars
See my review here.
A Book With a Red Cover: Things We Know By Heart by Jessi Kirby
4 of 5 stars
See my review here.
Read Whatever You Want (Side Quest): Love & Gelato
3.75 of 5 stars
See my review here.
Reading these four books earned me a total of 50XP, making me a Level 2 player, and 152HP!
I think it’s safe to say that I will not be winning the prize for having the highest score. But I did enjoy the books that I read and I had fun, and that’s what counts!
Are any of you mood readers like me? Do you struggle following specific TBRs?
If you took part in this challenge, how did you do?
How many books did you read? Which one was your favourite?
Did you finish your path? What were your final scores?
I’d love to chat down in the comments below!
That’s all I have for you today. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy the rest of your week!

Well, I think the most important thing is that you had fun! So even though you didn’t complete the challenge, you still met tons of awesome bloggers and read some pretty cool books 🙂
Congrats!! ❤

I’m also a mood reader and it’s so hard for me to follow tbr’s, that’s why I don’t usually make them lol
You still did pretty good and had fun which is the most important thing about readathons in my opinion 😊

This was such a good reading challenge! I didn’t hear about it until it was too late. Sad that I missed it now. 😦
