Review: Fall With Me

Hello, hello, my lovely readers!! I hope you’re all doing well! ❤
This morning, I’m here with a review of Fall With Me by Jennifer L. Armentrout. I really enjoyed the first book in her Wait for You series, but I think that the rest of the books in the series are increasingly worse in quality. I’ve already vowed that I wouldn’t read any more books in the series after the third book, but unfortunately, I really just can’t help myself sometimes. After finishing the book, I deeply regret my decision to pick up this installment.
Happy reading!! 😉

Fall With You by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Genre: New Adult – Contemporary, Romance, Mystery
Series: Wait for You #4
Pages: 389
Publication Date: March 2015
My Rating: 1.5 of 5 stars
Read July 2021

Goodreads Synopsis:
Eleven months ago, bartender and weird-shirt-wearing extraordinaire Roxy and Officer Reece Anders had a one night stand. Well, kind of. She’s been in love with him since she was fifteen, and he wishes that night they shared never happened. She’s sworn him off forever, but the past and future collide, forcing her to rely on the one man who broke her heart not once, but twice.
Her best friend since birth has been in a long-term care facility since he became a victim of a hate crime years ago, and the person who put him in there is out of prison and wanting to make amends with him and Roxy. She’s not sure she has room for forgiveness in her and when she begins to receive frightening messages and is on the receiving end of escalating violence, she thinks she knows who is to blame. The man who already destroyed one life already.
But Reece isn’t convinced. The threats are too personal, and even if Roxy doesn’t believe him, he’s not willing to let anyone hurt her. Including himself. He’s already messed up more than once when it comes to Roxy and he’s not going to let history repeat itself.

Review: The Road Trip

Good morning, everyone! I hope you’re all staying safe and healthy! ❤
This week I’m back with a review of my latest rom-com read, The Road Trip, by Beth O’Leary! I was really excited by the concept of this novel, but sadly, it wasn’t quite what I’d been hoping for.
Happy reading!

The Road Trip by Beth O’Leary
Genre: Adult – Contemporary, Romance
Pages: 414
Publication Date: April 2021
My Rating: 2.5 of 5 stars
Read July 2021

Goodreads Synopsis:
Addie and her sister are about to embark on an epic road trip to a friend’s wedding in the north of Scotland. The playlist is all planned and the snacks are packed.
But, not long after setting off, a car slams into the back of theirs. The driver is none other than Addie’s ex, Dylan, who she’s avoided since their traumatic break-up two years earlier.
Dylan and his best mate are heading to the wedding too, and they’ve totaled their car, so Addie has no choice but to offer them a ride. The car is soon jam-packed full of luggage and secrets, and with three hundred miles ahead of them, Dylan and Addie can’t avoid confronting the very messy history of their relationship…
Will they make it to the wedding on time? And, more importantly… is this really the end of the road for Addie and Dylan?

Today I’m brining you a review of my latest NA read, Repeat by Kylie Scott. This novel plopped its way into my email inbox via the Romance Read Club of the Month. I liked the premise and first chunk of the book, but I didn’t end up loving the second half of the story.
