First Lines Fridays #11

Good morning, my lovely readers! Hope you’ve been having a great week!! Today I’m back with another First Lines Friday, this time for one of my more recent reads.
Hope you enjoy!! 😀

First Lines Fridays is a weekly feature for book lovers hosted by Wandering Words.
What if instead of judging a book by its cover, its author or its prestige, we judged it by its opening lines?

If I die, it’s Trina Hamilton’s fault. She’s hard to miss; statuesque blonde with angry eyes and tiny nostrils wearing top-of-the-line Tony Lamas so she can kick my ass at a moment’s notice. When the early-morning sun finally burns through my irises and kills me dead, she’s the one you want.

And the book is……

You’d Be Mine by Erin Hahn

This is a YA contemporary romance that was released earlier this year and received countless raving reviews. I was very intrigued by premise and all of the hype, but when I gave it a try a few months back, I was left disappointed.

You can see my review of You’d Be Mine here.

Did you read You’d Be Mine? Did you enjoy it?
Is this book on your TBR?
What’s a hyped up book that disappointed you?
Let me know in the comments down below!!

Thanks with hanging out with me today! Enjoy the rest of your evening and have a great weekend!
Hope you enjoyed and see you all again soon! 🙂

  1. Thank you for posting this. I didn’t know this was a thing. Just this morning I was thinking instead of the read the first chapter to decide if you want to read the book why not the first lines!! This just shows you how important the first line is!
