Happy Friday, everybody! I hope you all had a really good week!
Today is time for another First Lines Friday for a book I’ve had on my Goodreads TBR for ages.
Enjoy! 😉
First Lines Fridays is a weekly feature for book lovers hosted by Wandering Words.
What if instead of judging a book by its cover, its author or its prestige, we judged it by its opening lines?
I stand up and look down at the bed, holding my breath in fear of the sounds that are escalating from deep within my throat.
I will not cry.
I will not cry.
Slowly sinking to my knees, I place my hands on the edge of the bed and run my fingers over the yellow stars poured across the deep blue background of the comforter. I stare at the stars until they begin to blur from the tears that are clouding my vision.

Hopeless by Colleen Hoover
Hopeless is new adult contemporary romance that I’ve wanted to read for a long time. I’ve seen countless positive reviews for this book, along with all of Colleen Hoover’s other novels. There are so many people obsessed with her writing, but I’ve still yet to read any of her work, other than the Never Never books written by her and Tarryn Fisher, which I enjoyed.
I am very much looking forward to exploring her books, but there are so many that interest me, I don’t even know where to start! I’ve had my eye on Hopeless for a while, but I’d also like to read It Ends With Us. Hopefully I’ll have the chance to read one sometime soon!
Are any of you a fan of Colleen Hoover’s books?
Which one was your favourite? Which one do you think is the best to start with if you’re new to her writing?
I’d love to hear from you in the comments down below!
Thank you so much for reading!! I hope you enjoyed and have an awesome weekend! See you again soon! 🙂

I would love to do this post! When I buy books I always look at the first few lines. The writing style it what throws me off or draws me in.

I usually do the same. You should definitely participate! It’s a great way to talk about past books you’ve read or books on your TBR!!
