First Lines Fridays #4

Good evening, my lovely readers! I hope you’ve all had a great week! 🙂
Today I’m back with another First Lines Friday, this time for one of my very favourite books…. Any guesses?

First Lines Fridays is a weekly feature for book lovers hosted by Wandering Words.
What if instead of judging a book by its cover, its author or its prestige, we judged it by its opening lines?

Back in the day, I had this plan for the off chance that I was around for the whole end-of-the-world thing. It involved climbing up on my roof and blasting R.E.M.’s “It’s the End of the World as We Know It (And I Feel Fine)” as loud as humanly possible, but real life rarely turns out that cool.

And the book is……

Opposition by Jennifer L. Armentrout

This is the fifth and final installment of one of my favourite series ever, The Lux series. It was everything that I ever could have wanted and more for the finale of such a wonderful series. I can never stop raving about how much I adore this series (and Jennifer Armentrout’s writing in general) because it is truly magical. It’s my favourite pick me up when I’m feeling down because it never fails to put a smile on my face. I will forever treasure this story and it remains in a very special place in my heart.

You can see my review of Opposition book here.

Have you read the Lux series? Did you love them as much as I did?
What about Jennifer L. Armentrout’s other books?
I would love to discuss them in the comments down below!

Thank you all so much for joining me today. I hope you have an awesome weekend! See you soon! 😉
